Soon we will have the annual fiasco of the New Year Honours List.

As usual the highest Honours will go to those who have already been
overly rewarded for what they do.

Those who really deserve high Honours for years of unpaid work that
has made New Zealand a better place will be fobbed off with a
meaningless alphabetical of tawdry honours.

Couldn't agree with you more dude!

A Kiwi knighthood has about the same level of credibility as a mail
order university degree!!

Patty. I figured you'd have put up the great leader and statesman,
Comrade Helen for a gong.
And for grand larceny; Comrade Cullen.
It's gongs for political has-beens that causes the stench.

Greyballs why do you figure I would have the great leader and
statesman,Comrade Helen for a gong?.

True some nasty Nat Prime Ministers were notorious for recommending
themselves for knighthoods.

I would doubt that a PM in office would ever be included in the NZ
honours list. They would be recommended by their successors.

The Palace can bestow an honour directly as happened with the late Sir
Keith Holyoake (apparently he previously turned down a knighthood but
accepted one when Her Majesty put the hard word on him).

Was that would be the version for public consumption?.

The fact that Kiwi Keith wangled a spell in the useless office of
Governor General suggests to me that Jacka was keen to accumulate any
tawdry baubles that Brenda had to spare..

If Obama can be awarded the Nobel Peace Prise, what do should do-
nothing Key be awarded?

On the subject of PM and Brenda's Honours here is a recent tweet from
John Don Key

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

From Money Grubber: Shif...@Beehive.govt.nz

Tried to sneak a Lordship for myself in the New Year Honours list but
Brenda saw it and cancelled it

You are not being very nice to your Your Glorious ex leader.
I recall she was against tawdry honours.
One rule for her one rule for the little people.
