Hey is the standard residential Jetstream IP address fixed?
I had an idea it may change every day or so or am I talking rubbish.

you keep it as long as you are connected...could be days, could be minutes,
not fixed, headers suggest Xtra, $40 a month for static IP on JStream.

It is not guaranteed to be fixed, unless you fork out more money.
However, you can dynamically bind it using a service like DynIP or DNS2GO..

rubbish, cost depends on your isp

xtra charge $20 or 30 per month for fixed ip

paradise charge nothing.

other isp's, it pays to enquire.

jetstart has no fixed ip at all, although i understand tha one isp may be
experimenting with giving a fixed ip via some sort of vpn tunnel.

Web Internet (www.win.co.nz) offer static IP over tunnels for (I think) an
extra $20 per month on Jetstream & Jetstart.
