It's been a newsy Wednesday in the world of N.Y. high school
sports. We call your attention to today's blog entry, which has two
major items:
(1) The all-state teams in boys basketball, as well as players of
the year in all five classes, were announced.
(2) Cicero-North Syracuse has shut down its turf-field stadium over
the issue of possible high lead levels in the synthetic surface.
That's a significant development in a story that has picked up a lot
of steam this spring.
