Hey All,

I'm looking for ideas.  I want to send an image (from Processing) backwards through a microscope to make the image smaller.  I imagined using a projector, but getting all of the lenses to workout is a mess.  Anyone have an idea how to do this, or if such a device already exists?

Much thanks,
Tom

what size do you want the image to be? what distance will there be
between the projector and the surface?

I've played with the Pico projector. It's tiny, fairly expensive
($399) but depending on how close you get it can reduce the projected
image to a couple of inches. Just right for your model train drive-in
theater! (projector disguised as snack bar)

Not sure I understand your requirement, but I do outdoor projections with
my 15k projector, I don't want to roll around with a ton of expensive
lenses (let alone purchase or rent them) so I basically stick to a short
and medium through then use a laptop to do what i call "cornerpinning"...
from across the street, i could use realtime position of the four corners
of video to properly fit video/images onto any size, and from very extreme
angles.

I pretty much overshoot, essentially ignoring the lensing (just making
sure I can get focus), then use cornerpinning to shrink, position, and
keystone the projection... down to any teeny tiny size I need.

ps: i use Isadora and an evolution ec33e midi controller for my
cornerpinning in case you're interested.

If you are looking for a small 1" size image, the mini LCD in a toy
head mount display comes to mind. I remember seeing a remote control
car that sent remote video : http://tinyurl.com/nxemc7

If you are looking to cycle through still images, then perhaps on of
those mini LCD keychains could work and be cheaper.
