Cycling Electronic Banditry

I'm new to the whole hacker community, but figured  this mailing list is as good as any place to start.

I'm looking to combine two of my favorite activities, namely cycling and DIY projects. I'm looking for partners to cruise around with me looking for discarded electronics and rig them together to form some ultra-cool device. Most likely, involving an arduino in some capacity.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/openfly/7139433921/in/set-72157629636605371  example is this display i built for my bike in silicon valley.  When on caltrain that display could change destinations by hitting the reset button... and that made it easy to set my destination tag when I was going to many different locations.

Right now I am trying to cad up some tactical railing mounts for my bike so that I can attach devices to the frame and handle bars more easily and more stably.

I have some other stuff on the work bench I'll show when done.

But sadly I am in california these days =/

Bike hacking is the shit though.  Totally do it.

Way cool! I'm curious what other devices are you looking to attach right now?

I was more getting at using the bike as a tool to aid in collecting discarded things to recycle, but this is pretty awesome
