So what are the details of the party? Can I come while I'm in NY (at the Makerfaire)?

Hello,
Last year on Saturday night of the Maker Faire NYC Resistor has a very nice party. Is that in the works again for this year?
I've been making videos at the big electronics components markets in Asia and the hackerspaces near them. It would be great to do the same in New York to contrast the vastly different scenes. I would really like to include NYC Resistor if there are events around OHS and Maker Faire. Here's some of our past videos:

Obviously there's nothing like Hua Qiang Bei or Akihabara in New York, but a few of the stores on the local resources page of the wiki look interesting. Would anyone like to join us for a short tour, maybe Friday 28th in the afternoon before the MF setup party? Argo Electronics, 269 Electronics, and Leeds Electronics are probably on the agenda. I'm trying to arrange a visit to a Radio Shack so we can show what they do in fact have in stock a year after pushing to serve hobbyists again.
Hope to see you at the end of September.
Thank you and best regards,
ian
