My arts collective, Disorient, is throwing a fundraiser party on February 20th on the boat Queen of Hearts.  The theme of the party is bioluminescence, and it's our second annual such event, thus we're calling it "Bioluminescence 2".

Our aesthetic philosophy is centered on inclusion and participation.  All attendees are required to wear costumes and clothing that fluoresce or glow, and are strongly encouraged to bring artwork to display.  And despite the extremely high popularity of the event we're keeping ticket prices low.

We're inviting you to participate!  If you have light art / interactive art / enthusiasm we would love to work with you to make our attendees (including you) truly feel like they've stepped into another world.

Our arts collective website is http://www.disorient.info which will soon have details on the party itself.  Until then, the facebook page for the event is here: http://www.facebook.com/#/event.php?eid=241275790684  where there are pictures and videos from last year's event.  Attendees at Disorient events are very respectful and have more fun than anyone I know.  Your artwork would be absolutely safe and respected and appreciated!

If you're interested in working with us, email me at rendall+...@gmail.com  Or if you know any artists or lists that would be interested in working with us, please feel free to forward this email onwards.

Thank you so much for your time!

xO,
Bioluminescence 2 art director

Awesome!

Justin and I were planning on going to this anyway, but maybe we'll put our heads together and come up with some sort of ridiculous artwork to bring.  Lots of blinkenlights know-how up in here.  :)
