I've not posted here before, but I have an issue with a supplier. I sent my order in to DX Warehouse over 2 weeks ago & have heard n othing except a request for a photocopy of my drivers license & credit card (did not give them).
I bring it up with this group because, if they're legit, they're prices for electronics parts are awesome. If not, they blow. Just curious if anyone has any experience with them.
Very bad sign. Call your cc company and cancel your order now, and look
them up on BBB.

I've an order from DX.COM and was pleased the results...Some components
were about 20% of what they'd cost on SparkFun. It took about 2.5 weeks
for my stuff to arrive, but they did email me a tracking number before then.

I don't have personal experience with dx but, related forum threads I've
seen recently seem to say they do eventually fulfill, although shipping and
handling times can be 8 weeks or more. Best of luck.

I don't know if dx.com, "DealExtreme" is what jillian means by "DX
Warehouse", a name I haven't heard before.
That said, I've bought from DealExtreme several times happily: sometimes
the stuff itself is crap (caveat emptor), but they seem generally reliable
as a retailer, although low-rent: orders can take a while to fulfill, and
I've heard of other minor issues, like getting a similar but different
product, but they generally seem to resolve their issues and I've never
heard of fraud concerns.
I think I've always paid them via Paypal, so I've never gotten such a
request for ID on a credit card. That said, asking for a scan of card and
drivers license is a not-uncommon way for online merchants to control
credit card fraud; I've seen it before. Given the fact that DealExtreme is
a real business that's been around for a while, I personally don't think
it's very risky to send them that info; your mileage may vary.
Of course, if you mean some other business by "DX Warehouse", I have no
info.

Thanks, guys!
Just got an email from them today & apparently they shipped out today & it should be 15-20 days from now. I placed this order on the 1st....but they're legit, huh?
Well that's good news!
