Hello all,

A performance artist friend of mine has a small project he needs help with.  I've worked with him in the past, but am unavailable now so I'm helping him find someone to take my place.

Basically, he is going to perform for one day, May 4th I believe, and he wants to create a jacket covered in intentionally messy looking electronics.  Buttons, switches, various lights.  Maybe some kind of audio.  This is not a fully fleshed out idea on his part, but in his mind he envisions "playing" the jacket like an instrument.

I think this is a 4 to 8 hour project after you meet with him.  His home / studio is in Brooklyn, off the Classon Ave station on the G train.

Please contact me, off list, if you are interested.  We can arrange a time to talk, anytime after Wednesday morning.

I've left the billing to him, but assume you can charge a reasonable rate for parts and labor.

Michael

Hi Michael --

I'd be interested! I do basic analog electronics and circuit building and have lots of available parts. I also know how to sew (some soft circuit experience). My normal day job -- I'm a craft stylist.

Let me know how best to be in touch. Also, feel free to call -- 917 715 1877.

Thanks,
Aliza

I am not the person you want for this, but my electronics projects certainly meet the sloppy, non functional requirement

Hi all,

I had someone for the job, but things didn't work out.  Anyone out there still interested?

Thanks,
Michael

Is this jacket supposed to do something with the buttons/lights/switches?  Some kind of audio? Is the artist looking for something microcontroller based?  I'd be interested if there was some more information.  Feel free to drop me a line.
