Hi,

I just learned about NYC Resistor and its microcontroller projects.

I developed software to allow one to build graphical interfaces for control projects.

The project started as a tool to allow governments to monitor their gas centrifuges for uranium enrichment as described in the below link.  They've learned that PLC control alone is vulnerable to Stuxnet and other viruses.

www.labrecon.com/Uranium.html

The product has evolved to complement any microcontroller project.  The software is available as a free download for the LabRecon site and as is is useful for sensor implementation.

My lab is in Englewood, NJ and I am hoping to attend one of the upcoming events and I would be happy to give out some free LabRecon chips.

Thank you,
Joe Barbetta

How is this any different from LabView? I am curious. LabView is the engineering industry standard.

Hi Susan,

It's much more beautiful!

I've been teaching LabView at Stevens in Hoboken for about 5 years to about 50 students a year that end up hating LabView.  I've tried to make my software more enjoyable.

I'm not intending for it to compete with LabView in industry, but for many uses it has strong advantages.

It is free to download for simulation and is only 2Meg.  I've had students needing to down over 1Gig just to use a com port in LabView.

I'd be happy to send you a chip for free if you would like to use it for measurement and control.

Thanks for the reply and best regards,

Joe
