Hello fellow scripters,

Per the usual schedule, I'm finally ready to announce the next
meeting. Andrey Fedorov will be speaking on Chrome extensions. With
browsers like Safari following a similar path and Firefox already long
supporting JS based extensions, this should be a good chance to see
where things are at and how they can be applied. Browsers are becoming
really powerful so there is no reason we should limit ourselves to
just the webpage it loads.

Also, the open floor for lightning talks this round is sounding pretty
exciting. I've got word of a lot of awesome projects that might make a
showing here so don't miss out. Bring your own short talk if you'd
like as well. No registration or planning is required, only yourself
and any props you need.

For those new to this or possibly those who might have forgotten where
they were last month:

nyc.js({
date: "June 10th",
time: "19:00 (7PM)",
host: "Pivotal Labs",
address: "12 West 27th Street 18th Floor [0,1]",
other: [
"BYOB",
"everyone is welcome",
"pirates and ninjas under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an
adult [2]"]
});

Brian.

[0] Don't be confused at the lack of a pivotal labs label
[1] Close to the R/W on 28th Street
[2] Unless your name is Peter Higgins

That would certainly be the tip of the iceberg, but my talk will certainly be on a lot more than that :)

A bump for great javascript justice!

I'll be doing a quick lightning talk tonight about Faker.js and building JS libraries that work dual-sided (on the server and client with the same codebase).

I think fernmicro is going to drop in and do a quick talk about his really awesome sprite making tool as well!

Huzaah!

I'm planning to stop in and introduce you all to http://radtrack.com - my baby rails Agile project mgmt tool.  It's getting more and more js'ified and I'm looking for some feedback from you JS experts on it.

see y'all tonight!

Cheers to that! Discussion was well beyond the vast majority of the meetups I've gone to. Great questions, great presentations. Thanks again, Brian, and everyone else, from the bottom of my heart :)

Cheers,
Andrey

I couldn't make it this time.  Did anyone tape it?
