Beautiful Collective in Crown Heights Looking for a New Roomie!

Hi all you potential housemates,

We’re a collection of 6ish people living together in a beautiful big ol’ 3 floor 6 bedroom brownstone in Crown Heights.  We share a lovely backyard with a vegetable garden, a nice little stoop and large living space.  We all live independent lives but try to take time to hang out and develop a sense of community.  This can be as simple as sharing food, asking someone how their day went, or hanging out in the living room at night.  We gather for house dinners about once a week and like to host events as a house.  We’ve done art nights, show-n-tells, a jam session, game nights, a rotating co-op house potluck, co-work club,  physics lectures, etc.  Ideally, you would be excited about joining and helping to plan these with us.

You can be liberal, conservative, apolitical, religious, nonreligious, straight, LGBTQ, man, woman, young or old. But you must be kind, considerate, and open to different perspectives. It would help if you’re a good conversationalist. We all love to converse about everything under the sun. If you do too, you’ll probably fit right in.

We have a room open for $584 plus utilities and internet. We require first month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit of one month's rent upfront. We also ordered a farm share, which is $118 for fresh fruits and veggies every week from June-November. Right now, our lease only goes until the end of August, so it would just be a guarantee of a place for the summer. However, most of us would like to stay here past August, and we hope that if it's an option, you would consider it too!
