The Harrison station has concrete benches for psgrs waiting for a train. They were extremely uncomfortable. First, the concrete was cold. Second, the bench was L shaped, not a natural shape. subway countdown clocks in the Bronx

from 1010newsradio NYC Transit plans to activate subway countdown clocks at three Bronx stations by the end of next month. The idea is to keep riders from guessing when the next train will be there. Grand Central water fountains; bottled water

The NYT had an article on the water fountains in Grand Central Terminal. In this day and age where everyone buys expensive bottled water and schleps it around, the reporter was surprised to find there are clean, nice tasting, and free water fountains to use. I've heard rumors that the train will run again this year. If anyone catches word on where and when it will run, including hopefully a schedule, could they share it with us? (For the last two years it ran on a modified "V", on the same schedule graciously provided by Mr. K.) thanks!
