First, the concrete was cold. Second, the bench was L shaped, not a
natural shape. Third, being concrete they were extremely hard and
unyielding.
I don't know if these were peculiar to Harrison only or used at other
MNRR stations. I hope not.
I suppose they're that way to be vandal resistant and durable and
deter sleeping by vagrants. But other carriers have good seats that
are more comfortable yet strong.
