In January 2010, a NYC judge tossed out the substantial minimum rent
increases unfairly imposed on long-term residents of 300,000 rent-stabilized
apartments renting for under $1000 a month. His verdict was that these
tenants, often low-income or fixed-income seniors, were being punished
economically for failing to move in a city with almost no affordable
housing.

Of course Bloomberg had his lawyers appeal the decision.
And of course they got their way. The issue has been decided in the
landlords' favor. You didn't read this in the papers or hear it in the media
though - with Billionaire Bloomberg spending so much on self-promotional
ads, do you think his media whores would say anything that would make him
look bad?
Money talks; poverty walks.
And the ignorant, apathetic Sheeple that put up with this crap get what they
deserve!
