Position Description Requirements Engineer Navigation MUST BE FLUENT IN GERMAN (WORKED AT BMW A PLUS AT EI4 GROUP) The Requirements Engineer Navigation is responsible for formulating requirements and securing that these requirements will be implemented. This includes the following tasks: Consider input from different stake holders in the US market (product planning, product liability, technical service etc) in the definition and formulation of the requirement; Secure agreement on the requirement with these stake holders; Communicate the requirement to functional owners in the engineering head quarters; Secure consideration of the requirement in the specification for future head unit platforms and/or in change requests for current head units; Maintain requirements list with current status regarding acceptance/date of implementation/tracking information in specification documents; Deliver additional input to the department for validation and sign-off activities. Responsibilities Define customer features and requirements. Secure agreement of requirements with stakeholders. Secure implementation of requirements. Document and manage requirements. Communicate with engineering head quarters about project details. Handle the process for multiple requirement simultaneously and manage the resulting multiple priorities; resolve possible conflicts. Coordinate project activities to accurately complete project requirements on time and on budget. Conduct all activities accurately with minimal need for supervision or review. Maintain professional standards in interacting with colleagues, respondents, and others. Maintain high standards of research ethics and techniques. Performance Skills Required Must be able to coordinate tasks from project start to finish. Communicate proficiently about projects in writing, by telephone, and in person. Excellent analytical and writing skills. Knowledge of navigation and automotive fields. Ability to work as part of a project team. Must speak English and German. Education and Experience Must have a minimum of 3 years engineering experience specializing in navigation or automotive infotainment fields. A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.
