Software Engineer in Test (QA)

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of direct hands-on quality
assurance experience in a software development environment. This
experience must involve white box, automated testing and/or
performance testing. In addition, they should command a solid
understanding of software quality assurance aspects including the
methodologies and terminology.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Analyze, design and program automated test systems (unit,
integration, performance and regression tests) * Ensure that products
meet or exceed quality standards set forth by the team. * Have a
thorough understanding of the products in order to produce real-world
test cases and use cases * Identify and track defects using a bug-
tracking tool * Coordinate efforts and communicate effectively with
the developers and other team members to ensure resolution of defects
* Actively participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of
tasks required to meet the milestones set by the team throughout the
product development cycle * Review functional and design
specifications

Requirements:

* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent * Experience building
test harnesses using C/C++ or Java to exercise APIs * Understanding of
the entire software development process, including specification,
documentation and quality assurance * Strong technical and analytical
skills * Able to work well both independently and with the team to
ensure quality * Proficient in Windows and UNIX/Linux

Experience in one or more of the following technical areas desired:

* Computer language: C, C++, Java, Perl, VB * Database: Oracle, DB2,
MSSQL Server 2000, SQL, PL/SQL * Web and/or Application servers:
Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat * Test tools including load testing and off-
the-shelf automation tools like JMeter, Borland's SilkPerformer or
Hewlett Packard's LoadRunner
