Description: Our client is a leader in the Investment Banking industry. SUMMARY
The Investment Bank Equities Core Connectivity team is involved in the development, deployment and support of client and exchange facing interface applications that communicate with stock exchanges, customers and process orders / executions messages from / to Equities trading systems. The candidate will also be responsible for installing, administering, and supporting the applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the team, the person in this role, under the guidance of the team leader, will primarily focus on the following tasks:
-Develop additional functionality for the interface applications to support new business and technology requirements.
-Increase resiliency and performance of existing applications.
-Troubleshoot connectivity problems in production.
-Install the applications in production to implement exchange / customer connectivity for Equities trading systems.
-Interact with technology and business groups in Equities to provide technical solutions in order management areas.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Strong C/C++ in a real time environment.
Knowledge of network programming
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Unix Experience
Skilled in the use of debuggers and performance tuning utilities
Good verbal communication skills
7+ years of work experience, finance preferred.
