Even a C of E service held somewhere ?
Any ideas as to where I might research more ? maybe the British embassy

The U.S. equivalent is the Episcopal Church. There are plenty of
those. The two best-known in Manhattan are the forever construction
project (over 100 years) the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, up in
Harlem, and the Trinity Church, at Broadway and Wall, whose royal
grant of land is now worth billions. But there are plenty of others.

Well, there is the Episcopal Church, which is all over the place,
most notably the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, located on Amsterdam
Ave. and about 113th St.

The following is the link to the Episcopal Diocese of New York, which shows the
churches in the Diocese that are in the Anglican Communion:

http://cdny.home.mindspring.com/directory/parish.htm

The Diocese itself is http://www.dioceseny.org/

and the Cathedral is http://www.stjohndivine.org/cathedral/

Whether any are "Church of England" (by that do you mean that they are under
the authority of the British Monarchy?), I don't know, but I honestly doubt.

But we would love to have you come visit the Cathedral. And many Episcopal
Church in New York are astoundingly beautiful.

That would be "Continuing Anglican" not "Church of England." The Church of
England is Canterbury, and Episcopalians are in full communion with the Church
of England.

You have been obviously mis informed - C of E has vicars who are women
and men.
