Hi everyone in NYC!

Can anyone tell me the quality of the Carter Hotel in Times Square?
I will be staying in NYC June 23-26. How much advance notice should I
give the hotel? Also, is the parking at the hotel better that the
parking lot near the Battleship Museum? Thanks all.

Will

The Carter Hotel is very sleezy - I'd suggest you stay somewhere else.

you should shy away from the Carter. It's full of transients of various
kinds (do you really want me to spell it out) that I doubt you'd
appreciate unless you were really into kink. The people who own the place
have been taken to court many times and another one of their hotels was
taken away from them by thhe federal government (The Kenmore). There are
plenty of economical hotels in the Times Square area that are clean and
safe. Look into the Milford for one example.

The Carter's a pit. You can do a lot better.

About half of the floors in the Carter at least used to be a welfare hotel.
I'm not sure if this is still the case or not.
