Subject: [ARTLUCK] fundraiser for Burma happening TONIGHT
Dear all,

For some of you this is new information, and for some of you it is
old, but yes for everyone - though for some of you on the Kyaungtha
listserve outside tri-state it will be tough - the message is "Please
come!"

Basically, Potluck House is a communal living space in the Columbia
University housing constellation (the long-running home of yours
truly), and for the second year we're collaborating with the campus
group Burma 88 Coalition (another home of sorts for yours truly) to
show off a bunch of student art, raffle and sell it, and raise some
$$$ for a school in Mae Plah Tah in Karen State.

You're all very much welcome to join us. Apologies for not sending out
the invite earlier, but here we are. Bring a little food, maybe a
little art, possibly some pocket change, and a definite willingness to
have a good time. Music and dance performances will abound throughout
the evening. Festivities kick off round about 7 pm at Potluck House,
606 W 114th St. between Broadway and Riverside. Email or call for more
info? 914 474 6247.

Blurb below - hope to see you tonight.

Best,
Geoff

PS: Apologies not only for the lateness of this email, but also for
that terrible first paragraph. Late nights in the library have that
effect.

When: Friday, May 2, 7 pm
 Where: Potluck House, 606 W. 114th St.
Who: Potluck House and Burma 88 Coalition

[ARTLUCK] is a night of visual, video, performance, and everything
else art at Potluck House, a communal space for the communal-ing of
artists, gourmands, and activists alike. The event is a fundraiser,
aimed at raising awareness about human rights abuses in Burma. All
proceeds will go to a school in Mae Plah Tah, a village in eastern
 Burma.

Damn right we're still taking submissions. To submit (or for more info on how to
do so), contact Spencer Russell at spencer.f.russ...@gmail.com.
