Farm Field Trip 5/21 - please RSVP

Hi Everyone,

Twice a year Northwest VEG takes a field trip to Anthony and Carol
Boutards' Ayers Creek Farm in Gaston, about 50 minutes from downtown
Portland. It's an organic farm, not veganic, but the owners are good
friends and Anthony knows more about specialty crops, soils and native
wildlife than just about anyone else I know. They grow all their own
veggies, fruits, beans and grains, plus experiment with bringing in
new crops like sorghum, farro, fenugreek, etc. They sell to local
restaurants plus at the Hillsdale Farmers Market.

Many of the people going will be part of the Master Veg class, but our
veganic group is always invited to tag along. It's a beautiful farm
and I learn so much everytime I visit! Let me know if you'd like to
go, and we'll arrange for carpooling.

Time: Saturday May 21, Farm tour starts at 10 am.
Carpool: Time dependent on where we're carpooling from. Or you can
drive directly there yourself.
