NASA Honors 2009 Centennial Challenges Winners

NWSFS member Bill Boyde sent us the following info:

 

"As you know, Kent-based LaserMotive won a recent NASA Power Beaming competition.  Next week, in Washington DC (at NASA HQ), there will be a "Technical Panel" and "Recognition Ceremony" for many participants (the Space Elevator / Power Beaming was just one of many separate competitions sponsored by NASA.)."

 

Bill participated with the LaserMotive and will attending the event.  (I hope to get a report on this for a future Westwind from him.)
