Real Change is seeking experienced videographers and filmmakers who are interested in volunteering for an advocacy project where the stories of our vendors get shared in professionally-made, short video form.
Interested filmmakers/
videographers
would be invited to participate in a "multimedia committee" of vendors engaged in
Advocacy work to draw from for ongoing vendor storytelling project
opportunities. You would be partnered with an interested vendor subject and would collaborate with them on framing the story to be told. In addition, vendor subjects will be able to
view a rough edit and provide feedback before the video is made
available to the public. The videos will be short (approximately 5-10 minutes), and the filmmaker will be responsible for all scheduling, filming, and editing.
Completed videos will be posted online and
the channel will be linked to from the Real Change website. Videos may
also be shown at fundraising and/or Homeless Speakers' Bureau events.
Interested film subjects will have the opportunity to speak at events
where the videos are shown.
Each
filmmaker that donates his/her time will sign a "filmmaker agreement"
that outlines Real Change's expectations of conduct and
copyright agreements. Real Change agrees to credit the filmmaker
appropriately for portfolio purposes.
Each vendor subject will sign a media release form with Real Change.
Equipment rental costs, etc. will be considered an "in-kind donation" by Real Change.
If you are interested in taking part in this project, please send links to samples of your work, along with a resume, to Jenn Pearson, Volunteer Manager:
