Greetings Volunteers!

Thank you for taking the time to volunteer.  This listserve will act as the distribution point for all information regarding  upcoming habitat conservation and educational projects within Nevada's Important Bird Areas (www.nevadaaudubon.org/iba.html).   The volunteer projects will be focused on the protection, enhancement and conservation of vital habitats within the Important Bird Areas.

Some of the types of projects that you can volunteer for can include (but not limited to):

• Wetland and riparian vegetation plantings, such as cottonwood tree and willow planting projects
• Tree protection activities such as wrapping young cottonwood trees to protect them from small mammals
• Invasive plant (a.k.a. noxious weeds) control
• Construction of viewing blinds or other projects to minimize disturbance to breeding birds
• Assist with bird or habitat educational activities for K-12 children
• And many, many more diverse projects focused on bird habitat! 

Volunteers are vital for our long term success in conserving these habitats important for diverse bird communities. 

Help us keep Nevada's Important Bird Areas important to birds!
