Subject: not-a-diet TRADING CARDS
The idea for not-a-diet trading cards began when we started looking for
a practical way to eat healthier. We knew that our less-than-ideal
eating habits were impacting our energy levels, our health, and how we
looked, and we were ready for change! But when we searched for a
healthy eating plan, we found nothing but restrictive diets that
required too much time and effort. We weren't seeking a weight-loss
program where we had to eat pre-packaged food, keep journals, or count
carbs...nor did we want to eliminate entire food groups. We are normal
people who wanted to eat like normal people - just healthier.

Because we couldn't find a simple system to help us eat right, we
created our own - and had a lot of fun doing it. We did tons of
research, talked to people of all ages and sizes, worked closely with a
registered dietician, and made meal after meal until we knew we had
gotten it right.

The result: A no-brainer way to eat healthy in our world of busy
schedules and fast food.

Since we started eating the not-a-diet way, we feel better. Honestly.
We are less tired during the day, we get a kick out of planning meals,
and we've even lost a couple of pounds. No, this not a weight-loss
program - but eating appropriate portions of healthy foods will
likely cause you to shed unhealthy weight. Consider that an added
bonus!

We knew we had to share all we had learned, so we put everything onto
cards, color-coded them, and made them available to you. It is our goal
to help you stay on the road to good health by continuing to provide a
variety of new and delicious food options, and building a community for
not-a-dieters to get information, support, and have a little fun. Our
website will be a dynamic resource that provides health news, research,
recipes, and a way to connect with others making healthy changes in
their lives.
