to use Arduino, Uno and Mega (1280).

Got LCD/Keypad, Ethernet, IO breakout shields. Anyone want to share what they made?

O.o do tell us your motivation to move away from the infamous PICs.
What are you planning to make?

Laziness.

Haha more like low cost and speed of getting an arduino mega. $28 usd for mega1280, $20 for uno. Arrived in 2 days. Also wanted to try out Ethernet shield.

First things first though, looking for an RTOS and FSM library.

The mega is just twenty? O.o
Yea arduinos are way cheaper than buying a pickit! There is an arduino sketch that programs the pic18 series! In case you want to program them!
What are you doing with the ethernet shield?

mega1280 is 28 usd incl. shipping!

sure, I'll keep that in mind :) trivial to wire to a ZIF should I need to use.

Eth shield means I can send/recv data to PCs, internet, etc. Switch relays, run motors, read sensors, send/recv zigbee, etc.

Or hook it up to a wifi device to make it wireless.

Okay there is a confusion here.
I automatically assured it's a 2560 which is a lot more expensive.

Uhm... Ethernet? Well, I tried a few sensors as well as using my phone
to control arduino, great fun!

Capturing frames of 1-bit monochrome from component video with arduino and board which uses an LM1881

http://nootropicdesign.com/ve/build/

Theres the bits dumped over serial showing a black object appearing over a white background
