Easter 2018

Whilst waiting for a flight the other day Vicky and I got bored so booked flights to Glasgow for the Easter weekend (fly up on Thursday landing at 2100 - flying back Monday at 2010).

That's as far as our plans have got. Anyone else up for doing stuff that weekend somewhere in Scotland?

Eh up,

I must admit that I had been vaguely planning an idea of heading to the Isle of Harris, as I still need to bag Clisham, and am now working to a timetable. But since we are all meeting up in a few days we can discuss plans then I suggest.

I am pleased to see that you will be spending Easter in Scotland though, whatever gets sorted!

All,

Following some discussion at Hogmanay, a suggestion was made that Glen Coe might be a more realistic option for those travelling from south of the border for the Easter holiday. As such, I've just had a quick look at the SYHA website, and for a theoretical booking of 6 males and 4 females there would be space in either 4-bed rooms or shared dorms. I think a hostel is generally a good bet for the Easter trip as self catering properties are loathe to offer a weekend booking on a prime date, and the SYHA is closer to the pub than the independent hostel, as well as generally being nicer. Not forgetting the colour-coded chopping board!

Any thoughts?

PS plenty of snow in the Coe at the moment, even on Grahams and 556m Marilyns (see attached!).

I think the prospect of snow covered Grahams at the end of March is a little optimistic though ;)

Okay folks,

Thus far I have six people (myself, Hannah & Mark, Vicky & Housechild, and Jon) confirmed for Glen Coe. Chris may also show up, but will stay in his van. I will look to book in the next couple of days so if you want added to that list please shout quickly!
