Dear Agape,

How was Fourth of July? We're still kicking and seeking Jesus, finding love and joy in him and hopefully spreading the goodness! Here's what's new:

Thursday Night: Guided Prayer

Come pray with us. Let's confess our sins together, offer thanks, and find fellowship and communion with the Father.

CAMPING Weekend Getaway!!!!!: RSVP!!
We're leaving Friday July 17th sometime after 4:30 with one car (possibly) leaving later for all of you on co-op, and returning the morning the 19th. We have reserved two camp grounds in Myles Standish State Forest and there's room for eight! So please RSVP by emailing me at cho...@neu.edu ASAP. If there're more than 8 interested we'll do our best to reserve another campsite. Our campsites are situated right next to a large pond with beaches, so also bring swim gear. On the agenda are campfire sing a longs and hiking. Personally I plan on doing nothing but swimming and fishing. The cost is $20 dollars for food and transportation.

Freshman Orientation Tables:

We're still looking for volunteers to meet the incoming freshman. 2-3pm on Tuesdays. Agape has an orientation table reserved every week in the Curry Student Center for incoming freshman orientations. Please email cho...@neu.edu if you can volunteer one week!

Dear Agape,

Thought for the day: How many people know who Jesus really was? That he was God but also man, that he suffered as we did and died as we did but rose, by His power three days later? Many believe the whole story is foolishness, I think its true and I hope you do as well.

Thursday Night: Time of Reflection and Devotional

After some time of worship we will be making our own devotionals and recording our thoughts to share in creative ways.

CAMPING Weekend Getaway!!!!!:

If you have not emailed me about coming you need to! So far we have Andrea, Cathy, Gail, Paul, Joe, Collin, Keith, and  Ellen coming for sure. We have 4 more spots so please let me know ASAP if you're coming or not. Here are the details:

Dates: 7/1709 -7/19/09

We're leaving Northeastern at 5:00pm on Friday and leaving the campground by 11:00am on Sunday. We'll be stopping for dinner along the way but the drive should be just over an hour.

Meeting Place: We will be leaving from the turnout on Forsyth St. right in front of Ruggles again at 5:00pm.

Cost: $20 per person to cover food (please let me know if you have any special requests)!

Campground: Myles Standish State Forest. There's tap water by the campgrounds and we're a short distance away from a large pond.

On the agenda: I'm planning on fishing, but you can go swimming and hiking as well.

Please see the attached packing list as well!! Email me with any questions.

Freshman Orientation Tables:
