Dear Agape,
Summer in Boston is looking a little dreary right now but only because of
the weather. We're up to some great stuff and here's what's up:
*Freshman Orientation Tables:*
Free 2-3pm on Tuesdays? Want to be the face of Agape for incoming freshman?
Agape has an orientation table reserved every week in the Curry Student
Center for incoming freshman orientations. Please email chon...@neu.edu if
you can volunteer one week!
*We Want Your Ideas About Our Night At the Student Center This Fall!!!!!*
Traditionally every at the beginning of every fall semester Agape gives away
fish at the Night at the Student Center to create awareness about our group.
This year we may do something different. Have any ideas? Please let us know.
Email chon...@neu.edu with any ideas. The Night at the Student Center is
Tuesday, September 8th. An idea that has gone around is about hosting a game
challenge, where a projector is set up with a Wii game attached to have a
tournament style activity.
Other ideas:
- Dance Party.
- Give away Oreos and milk but only offer the milk after students fill out a
survey about their spiritual views.
- Give out WWJD bracelets and explain what He would do in a variety of wild
situations.
What do you think?
*CAMPING Weekend Getaway!!!!!*
Myles Standish State Forest in Carver, MA weekend of July 18th. How does
that sound? We have one volunteer to drive and are looking for others +
camping equipment. More details to be discussed at the Thursday night
meeting.

*Romans 5:3-5*
3Not only so, but
we[c<http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=52&chapter=5&version=31#...>
] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces
perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does
not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by
the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
