I really think the current version "0.1 alpha 4" is not fair given the
current state of the project!

For some it's not worth looking at a pre-beta project, which is a
pity...

What do you think about using a more mature version like 0.9?

Thanks for the compliment!
We used the alpha tag because the API was still changing, rather than an indication of the stability of the code. 
I like your idea, and I think as soon as we go to beta we should change the version to 0.9.
