You should haved taken them to the used fixture yard. They regularly sell
for hundreds of dollars.

In Halifax we have Renovator's Resource - that's the only one I know of. A
friend of mine just bought a cast clawfoot for $350 - it had no finish
left at all. So the final cost was $350 + refinishing.
