Hi Everyone,

I am an undergrad. student. I am working on a project involving
Wireless Sensor Networks.
I would like to use NS-3 For simulating my algorithms.

Could someone please clear my doubts regarding the following
questions.

1. Does NS-3 support WSN's .
2. Can I use 802.15.4 protocol for my nodes.
3. Is there support for Node Battery tracking mechanism available in
NS-3.
4. If none of the above are supported, what is the closest I can come
to simulating ym WSN network, and will it be accepted by the
international community?

Could you please suggest any alternative to NS-3 that I can use for
simulating WSN networks.

The answers to these doubts would guide my selection of simulation
environment, and contribute to my research.

Thanking you.

Yours Sincerely

no.

no, but this is fairly easy to do. See:

ns-3 has fairly decent and detailed 802.11 models so you could use this
as a MAC+PHY model. I don't know how relevant that would be for your
application though.
