NowJS doesn't work with Node 0.6

Hi all —

After updating node (to the latest, 0.6) and reinstalling npm for the
new version, and "npm install now"-ing, I can't include /nowjs/
now.js. I get an error like this (in the Google Chrome console):

X One or more reserved bits are on: reserved1 = 1, reserved2 = 0,
reserved3 = 0

(Google Chrome 15.0.874.106)

Then the node process will be flooded with these:

warn - client not handshaken client should reconnect
warn - client not handshaken client should reconnect
warn - client not handshaken client should reconnect

and so on...

Please test NowJS for the latest release of Node as soon as you can.

For what its worth, I've had the exact same experience. Upon
recompiling back to Node v0.4.12 it all started working again with web
sockets.

NowJS functionality was still working, as socket.io fell back to XHR
and JSONP polling. But of course, web sockets is much, much nicer.

I was able to get it running fine, but I'll look into what might be causing these issues.

What version of socket.io are you guys running?

I have the multiplayer map example working with:

node 0.6.1-pre
socket.io 0.8.7
now 0.7.6

On a ubuntu 11.04 server

I've had the following...

Node v0.6.0
Now v0.7.5
Socket.io 0.8.7
Socket.io-client 0.8.7

This is running on Ubuntu 10.04, fronted by node-http-proxy doing some
port forwarding. As soon as I rolled back to Node v0.4.12, it all
started working, without any other changes.

Hmm I haven't tested with node-http-proxy. I'll give that a shot and see if there are issues there.

I'm on node v4.12 and have the message when some client enter on my
chat.
I dont identify the environment (net, browser).

now 0.75
socket.io 0.8.7
