Hello,

I appreciate very if anyone can help me with this question and I like
to thank you in advance:

My system:
OS: SuSE Linux 10
Graphics : on-board Intel i845GV
Resolution supported: 2560x2048 (as shown in SuSE Advanced X11
Configuration => Card & Monitor properties dialog box, in a pulled down
list)

My problem:
I tried to use 2560x2048 and get an error saying "Input not supported"
I don't know what else to configure to get it work?

The reason I tried:
I have Matrox DualHead2Go which needs 2560x2048 to drive 2 monitors at
2x1280x1024

Thanks very much

Hi,

Try to configure Xinerama or some other dual screen option with YaST/sax2.
Select normal 1280x1024 for each screen. move screens 1 and 2 on setup
screen as you like to have them, and YaSt will do the rest.
The 2560x2048 is actually 4x size of 280x1024.

I hope that this is clear enough.
In any case post the results.

But 2x1280x1024 is 2560x1024 (or 1280x2048 - depending on how they are
stacked).

What you need is a physical resolution of 1280x1024 - for each monitor.
Try the Xinerama howto at tldp.org.
