When NDPSM loads the following message is displayed:

" The Print Device Subsystem could not get the LEXOPTN.NPD file form
the Resourse Management Service. Make sure this file is locaed in the
SYS:\NDPS\RESDIR\PRNDEF\NOVELL directory on the server where the
Resource Management Service you are bond to resides. "

The file is in the directory. What have I configured wrong?

I got a similar error a few days ago. Turned out that my packet
filterting rules did not allow NDPSM to connect to RMS. (for some reason
it doesn't use the loopback address for connecting, although both
services are located on the same server)

I do not have packet filtering setup. But I will check.

I had the same problem with some printers after installing SP2A on NW5.1.
The only solution i found out was to edit the printers manual and remove the
NPD-Call (NDPS-Manger - Printer Agent List - Printer - Printer Information -
Gateway Status - Gateway Autoload Command - Press Insert ...) or to
delete/recreate the printer-objekts without selecting any NPD-File.

Regards,

Martin
