Click on "Workstation only" doesn`t change anything.
I tried to start in "secure mode", but the Novell Client always starts
(without the both fields), so that I cannot start the Workstaion at all.
How can I delete the Novell Client so Windows starts as a simply Windows
Workstation without network ? Or what else could I do ?
Help would be appreciated.

If the machine has F&P sharing installed and enabled - go to
\\computername\c$\windows\system32 (you'll be asked for the local
administrator pasword) and rename nwgina.dll to nwgina_.dll, then
reboot. The original login dialog should come up.
Perform a clean uninstall as per this TID and then install the client again.

That should work - or boot from the XP CD and use the recovery console.
You can't get into the PC booting in Safe Mode ?

Yes, with the recovery console I could rename nwgina.dll - no change.
Then I deleted winlogon-file - no change.
At least I deleted the whole harddisk and rebuilt the system. So it works
again now... I hope it never happens again....
Thanks for looking at my problem.
