I have a customer with Novell Small Business Suite v6 (he has the v6.6
upgrade and GroupWise v7). We have not implemented GroupWise yet. He
wants some information before implementing GroupWise.

He currently has six users but all users have three different email
addresses (Compuserve and two different company email addresses). He
wants GroupWise to pickup the emails from the various ISP's via POP and
bring them into GroupWise. He then wants to reply to the emails using
the email address that they were sent to. What is the best way to
accomplish this? Should we use multiple email clients or does the
GroupWise client have the ability to choose which email account to reply
from?

Also, can you use Word as your word processing client from the GroupWise
7 client?

Mark,

If you configure GroupWise to download email from a pop server, when you reply GroupWise will automatically chose the From email address to be the email address the original was sent to.

For 7.0 (and 7.0 sp1) you cannot use word as your editor while composing an email. We are looking at that as a possible future enhancement.

Hi Scott,

Do I need to add each Internet domain name (Compuserve.com, rapel.com,
mandava.com) in the pfa.ncf and to the GWIA Foreign ID field?

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

My suggestion was client based -- meaning that if you configure the GroupWise windows client to download pop from each of the various ISP's using one POP account for each one, when you reply it will reply using the POP account email address the original message was sent to.

As far as GWIA is concerned I'm not sure of the answer there. You can try posting on the GWIA forum (novell.support.groupwise.7x.gwia).
