I've just got my new laser cutter up and running after a few minor teething issues. For everyone that asked at the weekend, yes it is awesome and truly worth the money, time for you all to start saving those pennies. It's hard to describe what a step up this machine is. The rails are made with proper linear slides so it's really quiet (the fans and pumps are noisier but they can be moved and dampened down). The dropped down front allows for much easier access and being able to put in whole sheets of material without having to cut them up is so good.
Obviously the first cuts I've done tonight were bigger than the old machine could do too.

Until you guys get a bigger machine I'm happy to have anyone come visit me, or email and I'll try to cut your stuff for you with minimal cost,
Martin

Hi Martin, that's awesome news!

Glad you got it up and running, I would certainly be interested in taking a look at some point.

what's the bed size on it?

Kai. :)

300x600. I'm more than happy for a car load to come down, NortHACKton came to visit for an evening and I think they quite enjoyed it

I'm down in Countesthorpe. It's not a proper workshop really, it's just a garage but it was interesting enough last time because I have vast amounts of stuff and projects in there. There is good argument for visiting all these places though, was great to go to oomlout last week and I'm keen to get over to Phenoptix in the near future.

Hi Martin,

That's very exciting. Where abouts are you based?

Cheers
