Does anyone have access to a Windows 8 tablet device with multitouch?
A software project I work on has a bug with multitouch on such a
thing, and I don't have a device to replicate the problem...

no response so far..tells me something

I would recommend to stay away from Win8 especially on tablets and mobiles.. Win 8 is really just so behind the curve and so much more expensive than 'Free' stuff like Linux and Android.  MicroSoft was good, but now the times up.

I'm not sure I totally agree.  My only experience of Win8 is the 'upgrade' I did on my desktop PC.  I would suggest people stay away from Win8 on desktops!  It looks like it might well be suited to touch devices though, but I haven't used one to compare it with.

Sorry, meant to reply: I know of exactly 1 person with one (RT version),
but I doubt I can borrow it off him, possibly I can persuade him to
visit the space sometime if you are not in a rush for it. We're also
getting some for work to pilot them for loaning to students, probably
going to be a good month or so until then though.

hehe.. I know what you mean.  I am just a cynic/pessimist when it comes to Windows  :)

I have looked at Win8 on display machines and know of just 1 person with a Win8 phone, who REALLY hates it.

Windows 8 may be of interest to collectors of obscure and archaic
operating systems, but nobody else :)

It's fun to watch it on Hawaii 5-0.  Because I totally believe that the crime lab would use Windows 8 for all their deep science.

Forensic science labs are more likely to be on Windows 3.1 - trust me I know.

I've Used Windows 8 and I thought it worked well on a touch device, much nicer experience than desktop. My Wife has a Windows phone and it a very nice thing to use, fast, fluid and different (in a good way). The family PC is Windows 8 (non touch) and it's not really finding many friends in the house! 7 Was perfectly useable... Sorry Mouse, my post didn't help at all.
