Volunteer Policy

Volunteer Policy

It may appear that producing a concert is a cake walk, but it needs lots of behind-the-scenes work.

Here’s the deal:  In exchange for being selected to work 4 hours (6:30-10:30pm) doing varied tasks or other approved tasks such as publicity or street teaming, volunteers receive

  • A seat (when not needed elsewhere) in the parlor (if sold out, in the foyer),
  • Knowledge how to produce a concert,
  • Something to put on your resume,
The fine print.  Applying is no guarantee to being selected.  Having volunteered once is not a guarantee you’ll be asked to return.  You must apply for the show(s) to be worked.  Volunteers will be selected on the basis of need, experience and fit.  Volunteers will be under the supervision of myself or designee.

Volunteers will do tasks as necessary for production of the concert.  Typically:

  • Parlor and dining room set-up/take-down,
  • Merchandise sales,
  • Ticket sales,
  • Running for supplies (ice at Tedeschi’s, coffee at JP Licks, pastries at Sweet Finish, etc.).
  • And anything else as required.

If you have questions or are interested, send email to notlobmusic@gmail.com with your qualifications and the concert(s) you’d like to work.

Keep your lamp trimmed and burning!

If future comp show has a higher ticket price, the difference must be
paid.
Comp tickets are not transferrable.
Comp tickets must be used within 3 months.
Regular reservation policy applies.
If you have volunteered in the past, the 3 month time clock starts

Notlob Music is still in need of volunteers for all future shows;
without assistance the show will not go on. Most volunteer
assignments are done during concerts, but some can be done from home
or in the community (example, street teaming and publicity). All
concert duties and rewards information is posted in the Google group,
