Subject: Excellent Career Opportunity To Work On The Leading Edge Of Big Data: Positions Nationwide
One of my clients,  a Big 4 consulting firm leading the charge in the
Big Data space, is seeking experienced IT professionals with Big Data
experience to join their growing team.   Specifically, they are
seeking  qualified individuals for two roles  -  Big Data Architects/
Senior Managers and Big Data Architects/Consultants.   Both are true
consulting roles in which the incumbents will lead the development of
its ongoing digital data and analytics strategy with particular
expertise in data clouds for new media data.

These are full-time consulting - not contract - positions and require
travel to client sites on a Monday through Thursday basis.  Both
positions have similar responsibilities but the respective
requirements differ.   Below is a summary of the Big Data Architect/
Senior Manager and Big Data Architect/Consultant positions and the
respective requirements:

1a.   BIG DATA ARCHITECT/SENIOR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY

*   Providing direction and thought leadership around data strategy
and analytics harnessing digital marketing data from a multitude of
sources (display, onsite, social, mobile, etc.)

*   Leading the design and development of operational systems and data
clouds that can handle huge amounts of data and which are capable of
near real-time response rates

*   Designing solutions using cloud-based storage, relational and non-
relational (e.g. NoSQL) data stores, high data scalability and multi-
tenant data architectures

*   Working in a client-facing capacity directly while interfacing
with CIO/CTO  & CMO to drive our clients through the journey from as-
is to hybrid data-cloud infrastructures

*   Accountability for the development and commercialization of
innovative assets and offerings

*   Driving sales, service delivery and business development for
offerings

*   Gaining internal and external market recognition

1b.   BIG DATA ARCHITECT/SENIOR MANAGER REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

*   Minimum 10 years experience in data management and data
architecture design and delivery roles

*   Minimum 5 years experience with large scale data processing, data
partitioning, and distributed systems

*   Minimum 7 years experience with relational database technologies
and at least 2 years experience with non-relational / NoSQL database

*   Minimum 2 years experience with new media data

*   Managed multiple project delivery teams of 25 or more people

*   Had direct responsibility for the design and technical delivery of
scalable operational architectures

*   Has demonstrated thought leadership in the data/analytics space
(e.g. through being published in the media, presentation at
conferences, participation in standards organizations)

2a.   BIG DATA ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY

*   Data architecture and implementation using cloud-based storage and
relational and/or NoSQL data stores

*   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Data scalability and
multi-tenant data architecture

*   Performance and optimization using appropriate techniques

*   Building fault tolerance and failover into the system

2b.   BIG DATA ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

*   Minimum 5 years experience in data management and data
architecture design and delivery roles

*   Minimum 3 years experience with implementation of large scale data
processing, data partitioning, and distributed systems

*   Minimum 1 year experience with applicable technologies (e.g.
CouchDB, Cassandra, Voldemort)

*   Minimum 3 years experience in the design of commercial-grade
RESTful APIs

*   Minimum 4 years experience with Java and/or .NET

*   Designed and developed at least two data architectures, and long-
term data management strategies

** Please note that these positions are ONLY open to US Citizens,
