How does mysql xml capablites compare to the likes of DB2 or oracle ?

I am particularly interested in finding about the CRUD operations .
other factors such as compression, indexing and schema validation,
mapping etc support isnt what i m looking to compare. simply because
as far as i last checked there are none for xml data in mysql.
