Hi,

I wonder if I could just draw someone's attention to Issue 181, which
has a patch to support pydb as well as pdb. I posted it in April, but
it doesn't seem to have received any attention.

I've found pydb to be rather more reliable than pdb, and it would help
me a lot if this patch (or something like it) could be applied in the
next release.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

Sorry -- I've been very busy these last few months, and haven't had as
much time to devote to nose as I'd like.

That said, is there any reason why you can't release your pydb support
as a separate plugin? That's the best route to getting it into nose as
a builtin: release it on its own, and show that it develops a large
community, so that the cost of adding it to core is justified.

Thanks & sorry again for missing this ticket.

That's alright.

Fair point. I hadn't really thought about making it a separate
plugin. I can easily override the relevant parts of the built in
debugger plugin to provide the extra functionality. I'll post again
when I've done it.

May I say that Nose is a brilliant tool, and it's a pleasure to use.
Thank you very much.
