I know we're going to want to do the character journals when the game
starts, but there are two ways to implement it that I see here:

Option 1: You each upload and maintain a password protected Word File
with the name "<Character>'s Journal.doc" and email me the password.

Option 2: we make a separate Google group for each journal and only use
the discussion portion to keep journal entires, and I link to them from
one of the main group's pages.

Which leads to another choice: In character and out of character
discussions:
We could set up separate groups for each of those too, or just consider
that all of the discussions on this discussion page are Out of
character unless the subject starts with "IN CHARACTER:" I prefer the
latter because it keeps neraly all Game discussion in opne place, but
I'm willing to go the other way if there is a strong reason to.

Actually, Now that I think about it and look at it (and ran some tests
on how the Discussions' format plays out), I think I'll set up another
Group specifically for the IN Character Discussions, and consider
everything on this discussion board to be Out of Character.

I am still open to suggestions for how you want to do your journals.

I just thought of a reason to actually have a different group for each
person's journal.

I could also have you all Maintain your character sheets in the File
section.
That way I could always get hold of a copy of your character if you
were absent.
And since it's in your own area, the other players couldn't download
and look at it.
It would be a little more work for me at the beginning, but I think you
guys might get more out of it.

Thanks again for the idea, Gary.

This actually does come up semi-frequently, so it seems valid. Now, of
course, only like Kurt and I would probably actually do it, but maybe
you could ask really nicely for everyone else's support. Though Ogre
of course will probably just write his character on a sheet of paper
like the JERK HE IS.

I will totally put my character sheets in my journal area!!

I think Tyne is in for this experience too, So I could probably get him
to do it.

And I don't think susan is opposed... so as long as Ogre either leaves
his paper copy at the table or makes a copy on line, it's good.
