Dear FIRST Lego League coaches and mentors,
We need FLL teams to come to Maker
Faire in San Mateo on May 22 and 23. Your team can demo its robot(s),
show off its project(s) and promote the FLL
program. Will you encourage your team(s) to
do this for us?
In exchange for coming with their robot, your team members will get Maker Faire day passes!
The whole team does not need to be there, and the robot doesn't have to be "perfect,” but being capable of completing at least some of the Smart Move missions would be good. Your team’s role will be to demonstrate its robot and answer questions about the FLL program and your team's experiences. We will have a Smart Move challenge table set up for your team and a table to show off your project.
The Maker Faire is way cool and lots of fun. The day passes you’ll get will allow you to attend the Faire for the entire day; in exchange, we just need a few hours out of your day to help promote FLL.
Note that the Maker Faire is reachable by public transit via CalTrain, SamTrans and BART.
To sign up, please e-mail the form below to Susan
and Eric at sev...@gmail.com
with which slot(s) your
team can attend.
Please
indicate all of the slots for which you're available in the order of
decreasing preference (put a "1" next to your first choice, a "2" next
to your second, etc.). Please respond by 6:00 pm on Sunday, 09
May, so that we can coordinate the schedule and share it with you by 12
May. Responses received by that time Sunday
will be given equal priority to each other for the available slots,
with the schedule determined firstly to ensure all slots are filled and
secondly by random selection.
Visit the Maker Faire web site to see all the fun things you and your team can see and do.
