Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead a few blocks
from the University of New Orleans campus.
The 22-year-old man, who has not been identified pending notification
of family members, was shot and killed in the 5700 block of Wickfield
Drive.
Officers were called to an apartment around 8:45 a.m., finding the man
with a gunshot wound the body, along with narcotics.
Homicide Detectives are actively investigating this case
