Hi I am very new at Salesforce and NPSP and have a very basic
question.
We important all our various excel sheets into the database and are
thrilled to finally have a database to work from . Now we recently did
a big mailing and got several letters back without any forwarding
information.
How do I go about inactivating those addresses in the database without

If you want to disable the autofill of the campaign, create a new
button and put "lookupcmpgn=0" in your button's URL

The button isn't doing that, it's a built in salesforce feature. If
you don't want it to populate, you need to disable campaign influence
-- Setup > Campaigns > Campaign Influence.

The New Contact Donation button in the NPSP autofills Primary Campaign
Source with the last campaign that the contact was added to.

Anyone know how to modify the button's behavior so it doesn't autofill

I'm sure you (or a consulting partner) could build some custom reports/
dashboards for this, but you might try one of the free apps from the

Just confirming Jon's post - this is standard Salesforce stuff; not
NPSP.

Don't think you can add reports to a custom object tab w/out replacing
the page with VF.

I don't think you can control that without using a Visualforce page to
replace the tab.
Also, I don't think those reports come from the NPSP, but I could be
wrong about that.

Controlling Reports appearing on object home pages

Can anyone tell me how I can control which reports appear on object home
pages? For example, the NPSP as delivered to us has these standard reports
listed on the Tab for Contacts:

Report Type of Opportunities with Contact Roles and Households
Filter by:
Contact Role not equal to whatever your HH Contact Role is (so you only get
one row per Opp)
Probably only want closed won Opportunities as well
Group by Household Name (or ID) and then Opportunity Record Type

I am trying to figure out home to get the donation report, but household
that shows the donation by type. ie. donation, grant, in-kind, etc.

Thanks Kevin! Disabling the Account Model Trigger seems like a good
solution for us (which I did). Was that option obvious in some
documentation somewhere and I just missed it? (the actual internal
help text and naming convention are very good, if you happen to
actually know the setting exists).
