New Jersey-based band Like Trains & Taxis will be playing their first
New Orleans show at Cafe Prytania on November 3rd at 9 p.m. The indie
soul trio is on tour in support of their latest release, a 4-song
digital EP entitled "Charlie."
Since November 2007, Like Trains & Taxis has evolved into one of the
most promising bands on the east coast. Imbued with the D.I.Y ethos of
their hometown, New Brunswick, the band has played nearly 150 shows in
16 different states, developing a reputation not only for their
fiercely original music, but also for their dynamic -- if not hypnotic
-- live show.
To follow up their self-titled debut EP, the trio just finished a new
full-length album recorded in Chicago with Grammy nominated producer
Derrick "Drop" Braxton (Lupe Fiasco, "The Cool"). In anticipation of
this album's release, Like Trains & Taxis are touring the country
behind their "Charlie" EP, which features sample songs from the album
and a bonus track.
Cafe Prytania is located at 3445 Prytania Street in New Orleans. For
