.NBF files

Saved a backup on my fone to mem stick and coppied onto my computer.
Have since lost fone and cannot find a way to extract this file. Cant
find info on how to extract this file!
Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a .nfb or a .nbf?

.nfb is the backup file format of pc suite before v6.82 (later
versions produce .nbu backup file). If it's .nfb, it can be opened via
Noki.

I'm not sure about the .nbf. Please provide more details.

Hi Abrash,

The file is definately a .nbf file, which i can find very little detail about.
The file was not created through pc suite. The phone had a backup
function which saved a file to my memory card which I then coppied
to my computer. What other details do you need?

hi, Paul,

NBF is a series 40 backup file - it's a .rar file.

As someone on the net suggested, you can rename it to .rar and extract
the content of it. The contacts are in the folder: predefhiddenfolder
\backup\WIP\32\contacts in vCard format. vCard can be copied back to
the phone directly via PC Suite (more on vCard recovery at Noki data
recovery guide: http://nokisoft.com/how-to.htm#how-to-8)
